Description

An introductory course, Screenwriting I immerses creative writers in the fundamentals of dramaturgy, screenwriting, and script analysis with aims of advancing writing and critiquing skills necessary to developing screen writers primed for further study of form and theory within the genre.

*This semester, students will be encouraged to develop woman-centered scripts focused on contemporary themes concerning liberty and justice connected to the Black Lives Matter movement. Scripts will reveal and explore existing traumas associated with oppression from both public and private perspectives.
